Twisted Logic Tour appeals to X/Y

August 11, 2005 marked my attendance at a fourth Coldplay concert in their young, yet illustrious career. I also had the great privilege of seeing them play twice during the 2003 Rush of Blood to the Head Tour. All the shows have included a high amount of energy from each member of the band. Most obvious, the antics of frontman Chris Martin, who enjoys running and bouncing around the stage yet maintaining an uncanny ability to still sing and piano play at an amazing clip.

The two shows this August proved no different. The energy, the musical excellence, the entertainment…it was all strongly evident in both shows. A minor mess-up at the beginning of The Hardest Part in Camden but that was Martin's fault. They were on top of their game at both shows including Chris Martin mixing in some fun lyrics to appeal to the crowd and location. Examples: Reference to Philadelphia where Rocky was filmed and dedicated Everything's Not Lost to all the tailgaters. In Pittsburgh, Chris dedicated the song Everything's Not Lost to Ben Roethlisberger and mentioned how the crowd would go bananas if he said Big Ben's name. He also sang about Pennsylvania in Politik.

Thus, if you ever have a chance to catch them live. Do it! For a great review on their Pittsburgh show...read it here. Also, if you are interested in photos, email me and I will send you a link!
