Meandering the metaphysical
some thoughts and news

Just returned from an excellent weekend in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. I was the first guest at one Ted McLaughlin's new house on McMurray Road. It's a nice spot, located near the greens of a local country club. We were greeted with some cold snow on Sunday morning which made the trip over to Peter's Creek Baptist Church a little dicey. The most interesting part was descending Ted's slippery slope of a driveway.

Spent Saturday afternoon watching the Stupid Steelers pull out another one against the Giants. We order 6 pizzas from two different shops and both delivered miraculously during halftime, thanks to Hladio. About 12 different folks visited for the game. The rest of the evening was spent playing High Heat on PS2 and Ted managed to be round robin champ since Nickhead couldn't hit a fastball if we paid him.

Drove through light snow until I passed through the tunnel just beyond Somerset. Stopped at the South Somerset Service Area for some Fair Trade Coffee at Starbucks and boy was it tasty. Helped me push through the rest of the driving.

New post to follow with a Christmas meditation on our Good Shepherd.
